Geneva International Airport Parking

With its northern boundary along the Swiss-French border, Geneva Airport has Swiss and French sides. It is split between the communes of Meyrin in France and Grand-Saconnex in Switzerland. Both nations have access to the airport.

Because there are more than 5,000 parking spaces available throughout numerous parking lots and underground garages at Geneva Airport, parking there is said to be unrestricted. Although parking lots are rarely entirely full, reservations can be made. Additionally, there are 3 parking spaces specifically for bicycles.

Resapark is in charge of overseeing the official parking lots. Each parking lot, whether Premium or Economy, is close to the terminal. Except for P26, which can only handle cars less than 2.40 meters in height at level -3 on the lower two-thirds of the level, the height accepted at the airport parking lots is 2 meters.

You can be sure of a parking spot at Geneva Airport when you use ResaPark. You can leave your car in one of the three parking lots listed below:

  • P1 Premium is the most valuable covered parking space at P1 (level 2) and provides direct access to the main terminal.
  • P26 Economic is the least expensive option, with a covered parking space on level 1 at P26, a 10-minute walk from the main terminal.
  • P51 Economy is one of the most affordable official parking lots on one of the top floors of the P51 (level 6, not covered), away from the main terminal.
  • P20 French Sector is a covered long-term parking area that is located there.
  • The Geneva Airport's short-term parking lot is P2.

Disabled Parking at Geneva Airport

Parking spaces are set aside for people with disabilities at the Geneva Airport. For drivers with disabilities, the majority of parking lots in the Swiss Side and French Side parking sectors offer parking spaces that are larger and more convenient. There are 30 places on Level 1 for physically challenged tourists near the elevators, around 50 meters from T1.

Passengers in wheelchairs can access the airport's public areas and parking lots. However, entrance to the boarding gates is only sometimes practicable because some can only be reached by steps.

Short-Term Parking at Geneva Airport

P2 is the name of the airport's authorized short-term parking lot. One hour is the maximum time for short-term parking with easy access to the terminal. Also, there is a quick charging station accessible in the car park.

The P1, P26, P51, and P20 French Sector car parks at Geneva Airport are available if you'll only be gone for a few more hours to days. More excellent value can be found in any parking lot 500 meters or less away from the terminal.

Long-Term Parking at Geneva Airport

This car park allows you to leave your vehicles for trips lasting more than five days. Near the terminal, there are almost 5,000 spaces designated for long-term parking. Because video surveillance safeguards the security of drivers' vehicles, they will feel safe. Every parking lot has dedicated long-term parking areas, which may be enclosed or outside.

You can choose a spot at P1 Premium, P26 Economic, and P51 Economy. There are additional long-term parking spaces at P20 French sector if you are on the airport's French side.

Other Parking at Geneva Airport

The airport offers valet parking, which ensures you'll have a spot when you get there and that your car will be stored securely and safely. All parked automobiles are inspected twice daily.

The valet parking also offers gas tank refills and auto cleaning services. You may find it by going to parking P1, floor 1, where there is a sign for valet parking. Please observe this sign to reach the appropriate area on floor 3. Then, you can place your car in the garage, take the elevator to the main level, and check in at the Valet Parking counter next to the elevators.

Although valet parking is slightly more expensive than conventional parking, it guarantees a parking space and offers security and other amenities. Your car keys must be left with them when you check in.

Parking Tips at Geneva Airport

Here are some valuable hints for finding your way to Geneva Airport by car:

  • The drive to Geneva Airport from downtown takes 26 minutes. The weather and traffic conditions of the day affect how long it takes to get somewhere.
  • One-way streets, tiny streets, and French road signs all contribute to the difficulty of navigating Geneva's roads. Drivers can be hostile and will only think twice about honking if someone pulls off at a stop sign slowly. Regular cars are not allowed in the bus and taxi lanes.
  • Drive only in the lanes and spaces designated for parking to prevent obstructing or hindering other users. Observe all parking lot rules, especially those that pertain to forbidden zones.
  • Use any navigational tools or apps to help you find the airport and destination.
  • Plan your airport parking to avoid problems and guarantee a smooth trip.
  • The majority of airlines allow you to check in online. Before going to the airport, you can check in online, select your seat, and print your boarding card. Suppose you checked your bags the day before.
  • You must arrive at the airport an hour before takeoff and two hours on weekends. This is to have enough time to go through passport control procedures, walk through security, and find the departure lounge.

Please go to the specific parking lot's detailed page for the schedules, call the airport's parking facility at +4122 717 70 99, or email the parking control center.
