The tour starts at 10am on Saturday mornings during May to October.

Another free tour can be enjoyed on a mini-train that takes visitors to some of the other splendid Geneva tourist attractions: the many parks and residences in the city located on the right hand side shore of Lake Geneva. Tourists are given a free brochure, which explains the gardens and the wonderful mansions, while the mini-train chugs along the Lake Geneva embankment. The tour leaves every 45 minutes from Rotonde du Mont-Blanc at Boulevard de Saint-Georges 36. The Geneva Pass entitles pass holders to free entry to the Geneva Beach area, where an Olympic size swimming pool, water slides, diving boards and other water sport facilities offer great fun to all the family. Kids also have their own safe area with shallow pool and activities. Bus routes Geneva Plage 2, 6, E and G provide public transport to the beach.

The pedal-boats are available from Les Corsaires at Quai Gustave-Ador 33 and rank among the most popular Geneva tourist attractions during the summer. Each boat can seat up to 6 people. There are also canoe and kayak boat hire available.

A free cruise to see the Little Mermaid is also included in the Geneva Pass, leading tourists past some of the world’s most celebrated organisations such as the Red Cross building. The cruise ships leave from Quai du Mont-Blanc 4 and take one hour to complete the lake cruise.

At the Foundation Martin Bodmer visitors can marvel at 160,000 exhibits that trace the origins of the human mind and its achievements.
